The durability and long life of commercial vinyl wallcovering has always made it an excellent choice for sustainability. High-quality wallcovering provides years of stylish service. Now this new comprehensive post-consumer recycling program makes it possible to extend the wallcovering lifecycle even further by diverting waste from landfills and turning it into viable new products.

Second-Look gets a closer look from the building and design community.

Recycling vinyl wallcovering supports eligibility for credits in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. LEED was designed to set standards for creating productive places to live and work that are both environmentally responsible and economically profitable.

Participating in the Second-Look program is easy.

When used wallcovering is replaced with new Versa designs, the old, stripped material and any overage can be sent to a recycling facility. Later, Versa will use the reclaimed vinyl to create beautiful new wallcovering.

The Second-Look program accepts vinyl wallcovering made by any manufacturer. A sample of the wallcovering must be submitted upon application to the program. This sample will be screened to validate its safety for recycling. Materials and instructions for packing and shipping the wallcovering will be provided.

Reclaiming vinyl wallcovering provides an added benefit beyond reducing the amount of material headed for landfills. It increases the availability of products made of recycled content while protecting our natural resources.
