“The wallcovering industry is fortunate to have leaders like Phil Tarullo, who set the standard in terms of his commitment and tireless efforts to improve manufacturing and business practices and enhance the industry’s sustainability profile,” said Christopher Mundschenk, Executive Director of the Wallcoverings Association. “Phil has left a lasting legacy at the Wallcoverings Association by building a strategic plan that will guide the organization for years to come.”
Tarullo started in the wallcovering industry 37 years ago, working in various positions at LSI Wallcovering and eventually assuming his present role in 1989. Under his leadership, the company grew to become one of the largest global wallcovering manufacturers, with more than 2,000 products offered in 60 countries. Tarullo has been an active part of the Wallcoverings Assocation for more than 30 years and held many positions including its presidency in 2011. He also has held executive positions or served on the boards of the Wallcovering Distributors Association, Wallcovering Manufacturers Association, Chemical Fabrics and Film Association, and the Vinyl Institute. In addition, he is active in the IGI/The Global Wallcoverings Association.
“It is a great honor to be recognized,” Tarullo said. “But my achievements are made possible by the efforts of my employees and their families, our customers and vendors, industry colleagues and members of the WA organization who diligently work for the benefit of all.”
