Second-Look® Retrieval Program. The first of its kind in the industry, the Second-Look Retrieval Program recycles post-consumer vinyl wallcovering into new product. The program supports eligibility for credits in the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System® by directly diverting waste from the landfill.
Second-Look Wallcoverings. The recycling program, coupled with the recycled Second-Look wallcovering product, presents a comprehensive sustainable building solution option. Featuring both post-consumer and pre-consumer content and low VOC's, Second-Look product also supports LEED.
n'viro®. Offering a distinct balance of aesthetics and performance, patterns from the n'viro collection are made with our Terren® substrate, a cellulose-based material that's friendly to interior environments and the global environment.
Earth-Friendly Manufacturing. Versa employs responsible manufacturing practices for sustainability in the manufacturing of all product. Virtually all manufacturing scrap is reclaimed in the process directly minimizing waste. Water-based inks are used to reduce manufacturing stack emissions and to minimize the emission of volatile organic compounds from the product.
Antimicrobial Protection. All of our materials are treated with additives to help guard against mold and mildew growth. For hot and humid climates, the wallcoverings can also be microvented with an optional PermaVent® process to allow moisture to move through it. This process allows the wallcovering to "breathe" and helps manage the mobile moisture in the walls.
