“We have been committed to reducing our impact on the environment since the company began operations in 1955,” said Phil Tarullo, CEO of LSI Wallcovering, manufacturer of Versa Wallcovering. “Certification to this standard was a natural step in our sustainability achievements and a sign to the A&D community of our commitment to making the best products possible for a healthy built environment.”
“Certification to the NSF/ANSI 342 Sustainable Wallcoverings standard assures specifiers and buyers they are choosing the most sustainable products available in the industry,” said Tom Bruursema, General Manager of NSF Sustainability. “Versa Wallcovering, as the first brand certified to the NSF 342 standard, is to be commended for their commitment to more sustainable products and processes as demonstrated by the certification process.”
NSF/ANSI 342 was developed by NSF International, an ANSI-accredited public health organization, with a joint committee including product users, state and federal agencies responsible for procurement practices, the Environmental Protection Agency, wallcovering manufacturers and distributors, academics and certification agencies. The third-party, multi-attribute certification is an important indicator of sustainability in a market awash with green claims.
